Pentar have been commissioned on this site and planning negotiations are proceeding for 81 affordable units on the Green Belt site south of Sevenoaks. The development will comprise a mixture of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 3 bedroom houses.  All two storey houses will be built as “lifetime homes”.

 

The realisation of a sense of place and uniqueness has been a primary aim of the design. The grain of the development will be relatively tight, with an informal arrangement of structures set in counterpoint to substantial areas of soft landscaping.

 

 

It is intended that the dwellings will attain a high code rating for sustainability. The structures will be highly insulated with passive stack ventilation.  Energy efficient heating systems will be supplemented by solar panels and ground or air source heat pumps, as appropriate to each situation.
